The Lakes School is looking to fill three posts with enthusiastic and dedicated people.

Support Worker to assist a member of staff

Up to 22 hours per week, paid at £6.60 per hour.  Starting as soon as possible, initial post until 31st March 2011.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist a member of staff in their professional role.  Duties will include transporting equipment and resources and assistance with ICT and administration.  The post holder will need to work agreed hours as scheduled between 8.45a.m. and 3.10p.m. (some flexibility may be helpful).

 

English Teacher (Maternity Leave Cover)

Full time teacher of English to cover a maternity leave from 15th November 2010 (expected to end July 2011).

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the ability and age range including, for suitably qualified/experienced applicants, the chance to deliver A Level English Language and will join experienced colleagues in a strong and high achieving department.

 

RS, Citizenship and PHSE Teacher (Maternity Leave Cover)

Full time teacher of RS, Citizenship and PHSE to cover a maternity leave from 17th January 2011 (expected to end July 2011).

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the ability and age ranges in those key subjects.  A TLR may be payable for a suitably experienced applicant who is willing to take on subject leadership responsibility in leading a small team of colleagues on one or more of these areas.

 

The Lakes School is a successful mixed comprehensive school in the heart of The Lakes District.  We have been a Sports College since September 2004 and make full use of our stunning location.  The secondary schools in the South Lakes are independent parts of an active federation.
