Our aim is to educate, support and challenge our pupils in a positive, nurturing environment, to ensure they reach their full potential.

The Art Department aims to offer pupils as many opportunities as possible to develop an understanding of the visual arts and to be able to use those skills and knowledge to the best of their ability. Through sound working practices in the Art rooms, pupils are encouraged to develop individually, express opinions on contextual issues, give value judgements to their own and peers work, and to the work of other artists, craftspeople and designers. They are given the opportunity to visit galleries and exhibitions, broaden their experience of different media and are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities.

The Art rooms and staff are available at lunchtimes and after school for further study and personal tutorials.
