ICT
Key Stage 3
Students follow the National Curriculum for ICT. They are given extra time in the timetable so that we can cover the KS3 work in just 2 years.
In Year 9 students take a level 1 or level 2 OCR National in ICT. Again, they are given more than the normal time so that they can complete these qualifications in a year.
Key Stage 4
There are two ICT courses in Key Stage 4. There is a Core Skills option where the aim is to reach ICT Functional Skills at level 2 and for more specialist interest, a GCSE in Computing.
Key Stage 5
AS Computing is offered, but this would normally be part time over two years. For exceptional students Computing is available to A2.
