Outdoor Education

Outdoor Education has grown to become one of the many positive features of The Lakes School curriculum. This should come as no surprise given the fantastic location it holds within the Lake District National Park surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers.

Courses have been developed by staff who are highly experienced and qualified teachers and outdoor education professionals, and who have developed links with both the commercial and public sectors of the Outdoor Industry. Courses on offer are a mix of theory and practical activities in, about and for the outdoors. After school outdoor activity courses and foreign trips have become integral to courses and the development of students. Our excellent facilities and equipment that we use to achieve course objectives are extremely well maintained and updated regularly.
