Clubs
Extra curricular activities are a strong feature of The Lakes School and all students have the opportunity to experience this from Year 7 onwards.
Students are actively encouraged to get involved in the many activities available to them and after school clubs include art, drama, debating, information and communication technology, music, science and technology, as well as revision classes in most subjects.
Outdoor activities play are a large part in life at The Lakes School and we make the most of the opportunities presented by our local environment. In addition to the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (available to students from the end of Year 9 onwards) our students have the opportunity to take part in abseiling, caonoeing, camping, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, orienteering, sailing and skiing.
Our students also have the opportunity to take part in sports, often at representative level, in the following teams and clubs: athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, cross country, cricket, dance, fitness, football, gymnastics, hockey, kick boxing, netball, roller hockey, rounders, rugby, swimming, tennis and trampolining.
