Work Experience

Every year, our Year 10 students are encouraged to undertake a week’s work experience with an employer of their choice during the summer term.

Work Experience at The Lakes School

Every year our year 10 students take part in a week’s work experience with an employer of their choice in the summer term.

Details below show the key dates, documentation needed, websites and passwords.

 Key Dates

21st – 25th January                       Pack to tutors and student pack given to student

29th January                                     Parents Information Evening 6.00pm

5th February                                    Tuesday drop-in session for students in business room 1.30-2.00pm

22nd February                  Tuesday drop-in session for students in business room 1.30-2.00pm

22nd February                                 Choices and consent forms to Mrs Buxton

24th June                                   Students contact work placement for information on start and finish                        times, dress code and lunch arrangements

4th July                                                  Tutors give out diaries to students

8th – 12th July                                  Tutor contacts students in tutor group by telephone and tutor visits.                     

15th July                                             Tutor collects diaries from students and return to DBu in office.
